As we continue through September, Halloween will be with us sooner rather than later, and London could be the perfect place for you to enjoy one of the biggest celebrations of the year.
While it may not be as widely recognised as Christmas, Halloween has some huge events lined up every year, especially in the capital. Whether you’re a horror fanatic, or simply looking for something a little different, there is plenty to look forward to.
Here are some of the top events lined up in the coming months:
1. Crime Scene Live at the Natural History Museum
The Natural History Museum has plenty of great events to look forward to, and Crime Scene Live is the perfect Halloween activity, taking place on October 30th.
As part of the event, visitors will be able to spend time working as a crime scene investigator, and can collect evidence while working with forensic experts to find the details around criminal incidents.
It’s a fascinating insight into how murderers are identified but make sure you pick up your tickets soon, as it is likely to sell out in advance.
2. Dia De Los Muertos at Corsica Studios
Many people love Halloween purely because of the outstanding parties that take place over the period, and Dia De Los Muertos at the Corsica Studios nightclub is set to be one of the best on October 28th.
The event celebrates the venue’s 15th birthday and will be themed around the Mexican Day of the Dead. A range of DJs are booked for the event, and a variety of vibrant costumes can be expected.
3. Fright Night at Forty Hall
Forty Hall, a manor house dating back to the 1620s, will be transformed into a spooky haunted house for the night on October 27th. It provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the building by candlelight and meet a variety of spooky characters.
Entry slots are available between 6:30pm and 9pm, and it’s likely to fill up quickly so book your tickets as quickly as possible!
4. Horror classic sat the Rivoli Ballroom
Halloween is the perfect time of the year for viewing classic horror films and London has plenty of spooky screenings lined up at the Rivoli Ballroom.
A Nightmare on Elm Street is scheduled for October 24th, while The Shining, Poltergeist and The Exorcist will be screened on October 25th, 26th and 27th respectively.
