As we make our way through May, the UK is finally starting to enjoy some brighter weather and London’s long calendar of spring and summer things to do has kicked off.
While we have already seen some amazing events across April and May, June has a packed calendar of attractions to look forward to. No matter whether you’re an outdoor type wanting to explore the capital’s lush green spaces or a foodie hoping to try the latest restaurants, there is plenty in store next month.
It has also never been easier to reach London by coach, with plenty of departures available throughout the day. Those who book their fares well in advance can look forward to great value prices, a guaranteed seat, Wi-Fi and storage space.
Here are 4 fantastic events scheduled in the capital next month:
1. The Stone Roses, Wembley Stadium, June 17th.
Following their triumphant return in 2012, The Stone Roses have continued to wow audiences across the globe and will bring their historic anthems to Wembley Stadium next month.
After releasing two singles last year, speculation has been rife regarding a potential new album, which would be their first since Second Coming in 1994.
However, whether the Roses air new material or not, they have more than enough classics to whip Wembley into a frenzy.
2. Open Squares Weekend June, 17th-18th.
Over the weekend of June 17th-18th, over 200 gardens will be opened across London, offering special tours, family activities and a host of other events.
Many of the gardens are normally closed to the public, making this a special opportunity to see some of the capital’s breathtaking green spaces.
Even more events will be announced closer to the time, so keep an eye on the Open Squares Weekend website to find out more.
3. West End LIVE, Trafalgar Square, June 24th-25th.
The spectacle of a West End show should not be missed if you’re visiting London and, this June, it’s free!
2017 marks the 13th annual West End LIVE, with top shows such as the Lion King, the Bodyguard, Matilda the Musical, the Phantom of the Opera and Jersey Boys just some of the performances seen here in previous years.
This year's line-up is yet to be announced, so be sure to check the event’s website for the latest updates.
