iPhone app allows commuter coach tracking in the palm of your hand
The Kings Ferry today announces their Commuter CoachTrac App is available free from the App Store. The new application for the iPhone and iPad provides commuters with instant information showing pick up locations, timetabling and coach locations.
Users can find the nearest pick up point in one of three easy ways; by the stop closest to their current location, by postcode or even coach stop name.
They can then save it to their personal favourites. Once the user has found their chosen coach pick up point and selected the appropriate route, they can then track the vehicle allocated to that route to check its live position.
“We like to be able to offer our commuters real time information so they can make informed decisions either before leaving the office or out and about in the city” says Danny Elford, commercial director at The Kings Ferry. “We developed this app to help our commuters make the most of our services and to highlight the many commuter services we offer on a daily basis”
The app builds on the success of the CoachTrac facility The Kings Ferry have offered on their website for the past six years.
As the largest commuter service for coach travel to London in the UK The Kings Ferry operates 34 services from Kent into Canary Wharf and London each morning. The Kings Ferry specialises in quick, convenient and economical commuting. Covering 183 pick up points across 34 services in Medway and Swale including Park and Ride stops, the service has 19 convenient drop off points around London from Aldgate through to Victoria.
