As railway tracks freeze over, The Kings Ferry keeps moving. Again!
Train services throughout the south east were literally put on ice this morning as rail networks ground to a halt due to ice on the tracks. However, the sun was shining on The Kings Ferry coach hire company who managed to deliver all passengers to London on time on their commuter service.
Echoing the chaos of the February snow, passengers across the region were left unexpectedly stranded at train stations with no other choice but to turn back home. National Rail blamed the severe delays on adverse weather conditions which led to ice on the tracks – impacting all Southeastern Rail services. Strangely at the time of writing, the skies across the south east were clear, with no hint of rain, snow or anything untoward.
“It’s our duty to get all passengers safely to their destination and once again we have managed to do this. We keep a constant eye on weather conditions and today, for us at least, has proved to be a good weather day,” said Ian Fraser, operations director of The Kings Ferry.”
