Kings Ferry Coach Hire Meets Road2Recovery Team at Dover
Cycling 600 miles form London to Morzine in the French Alps to raise awareness of knife crime and two spinal injury charities, the Ride2Recovery Team reached Dover in the early evening of Sunday 24th May where pedal power was replaced by a Kings Ferry coach to help them on their trip across the channel.

The 25-strong team of cyclists boarded a 49 seat Kings Ferry coach to take them across the channel to Calais and then on to Dieppe for the start of the French leg of their ride. The coach, which was provided free of charge, gave the team a welcome break in their six day challenge.
Ride2Recovery was motivated by a tragic, unprovoked knife attack in 2008 that left Oli Hemsley paralysed. The group, led by Oli's brother, Will, hopes that the ride will not only increase awareness about knife crime, but also raise money for two UK spinal injury charities.
On arriving at Dover, Will Hemsley said: "We are extremely pleased to have the help and support of The Kings Ferry. The generosity of local businesses such as The Kings Ferry has made this ride possible. They have helped to ensure that we can all make it to the starting point of our French leg in good time and with minimum hassle."
Ian Fraser, operations director for The Kings Ferry, was quick to endorse the project. "It's not every day we get approached to support such an impressive initiative to raise money for and awareness of what is a truly important cause. We'll be tracking the team's progress and waiting for them on their return."
