Easter Bank Holiday Ideas

Easter Bank Holiday weekend ideas...

Looking for some great ways to spend the upcoming bank holiday? There are some fantastic events going on that will offer a great day out for both you and your family and friends. Whether you are looking to hunt around for chocolatey delights, or looking to party through the weekend, there is something for everyone.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunts - Various Locations, London

Friday 30th March - Sunday 1st April

With their humungous grounds and lush gardens, National Trust properties were clearly made for Easter Egg hunts. Make sure you’re breaking into a Cadbury egg come Easter by joining the big Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. Just enter your postcode to find your nearest National Trust property and whiz over there to crack the clues (before your neighbour gets there first.)

A big day out with Peter Rabbit - Kew Gardens

Friday 30th March - Sunday 15th April

Join Peter Rabbit and his gang of furry friends to celebrate Easter at Kew's beautiful botanical gardens. Kids will be on Cloud Nine with this Beatrix Potter extravaganza, including trips to Mr. McGregor's shed to see how he grows his plants, DIY bunny ear workshops, storytelling sessions and Peter Rabbit fancy dress. But it's not just for kids – adults can join in with monster veggie growing class, explore Kew's kitchen garden and admire the dazzling springtime blooms. All included with the standard Kew Gardens admission price.

Superhero Takeover at ZSL London Zoo - Regents Park

Friday 30th March - Sunday 15th April

Did you know that a lemur can let off a stink bomb? Or just how the tiger uses its camouflage? For the Easter holidays, visitors to ZSL London Zoo are invited to celebrate the furry superheros that dwell here, on the Superpowers Trail, part of the 2018 Superhero Takeover. Children will be given their own comic book to guide them around their adventure and given interactive tasks at each stop on the route, before joining in with some super-themed games back at Superhero HQ. These include being able to dress in the Capes of Confusion (which allow you to 'disappear' and hide from your predators), then float like butterflies in search of ultraviolet flowers, and even catch sticky insects in your own web!

Ballie Balerson Easter Special - Shoreditch

Sunday 1st April

Easter was infinitely better when you were a kid, right? So, find your inner child and take them along to Ballie Ballerson for the most fun you’ve had since you were seven and still getting Easter Eggs from extended family. There will be two ball pits to dive into tonight, the main one and the Easter one – where you’ll find bunny mascots dishing out chocolate treats. If you dig out any rubber chickens while you’re in the Easter pit, hand them over to nab a prize. Who needs a mountain of shop-bought Easter eggs when you’ve got one million glowing balls to play with?

East Sunday Disco Festival - Bethnal Green

Sunday 1st April

If the bank hols weren’t reason enough to celebrate, it’s also Fever 105’s fifth birthday, so Oval Space is going all out to throw a cracker of an Easter/bday bash that lasts into the wee hours. As well as getting your wiggle on to the likes of Norman Jay (MBE), Jazzie B (OBE) and Late Night Disco, there will be street food and cocktails to keep the energy levels high and some surprise entertainment thrown in. Dig out your disco shirt and hit the dance floor.
