School trips case study
Case study
Earlier this year, three Kings Ferry coaches transported 117 children from the Sherwin Knight Community Infant School in Strood, to visit the regeneration site in Stratford, East London, where the forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games will be held. The trip took in the sights of the Olympic site and surrounding areas including a walk around the River Lea, the Olympic Village and the ExCel Centre.
On board all three coaches was a Blue Badge tour guide who kept the children interested, educated and entertained during the journey to and from London.
"The tour met all the learning outcomes," said Sandra Sheldrake, head teacher of the school. "The coach drivers were really interactive with the children and the service from The Kings Ferry and the tour guides was excellent."
