Events to enjoy at the O2 Arena

The O2 Arena in London ranks among the biggest and best indoor venues in the world, regularly hosting big-name acts from the entertainment world.

Indeed, irrespective of your interests, you're sure to find an event that tickles your fancy at some stage in 2014.

Whether you're a fan of stand-up comedy, live sports, music or anything else in between, the O2 Arena is the place to be over the coming months.

Here, we’re going to provide a guide to some of the top events to look forward to in the coming weeks and months.

Lee Evans - Monsters

Undoubtedly one of the country's top stand-up comics, Lee Evans is set to appear at the iconic venue in September, when he will take to the stage no less than six times.

The comic is, of course, noted for his energetic performances and despite being deep into his career, it is apparent that Evans has lost none of his enthusiasm for the task.

His talent is evidenced by the extent of his popularity, which has seen him smash sales and box office records.

What's more, between 2002 to 2011, Evans performed to over 1.6 million people through his four live arena shows.

He has also appeared in a number of successful films and in 2011, his autobiography, entitled The Life of Lee, became a number one bestseller in the UK. This meant that it ranks among the top 30 best-selling books of that year.

Katy Perry - The Prismatic World Tour

US superstar Katy Perry has appeared at the O2 Arena before and, as ever, she delivered a fun live performance that kept her legion of fans entertained.

And if you plan to see the star in action in May, then there's no danger of you feeling disappointed.

The eagerly-awaited show will feature Icona Pop, the Swedish synthpop duo who spawned one of the biggest hits of last year.

Added to this, it has been revealed that the show will feature a special standing pit in front of the stage called 'The Reflection Section'. This will allow Katy to get closer than ever to her fans.

"Katy Perry scored her second number one album in the UK with new album PRISM. It follows the huge success of Katy's chart topping single Roar, which was recently certified platinum in the UK," event organisers explained.

"PRISM has already been certified Gold (100,000 sales) in the UK and globally the album is a smash, shooting to number one on iTunes charts in 90 markets around the world."

ATP World Tour Finals

The ATP World Tour Finals is always an event to look forward to and when it is staged in London later this year, it willonce again attract all of the biggest names in the game.

The likes of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal rank among the greatest players of all time and so the opportunity to see them in action is not one to pass up.
