The UK has a rich history in terms of movies and theatre, and there is no city in the country that is able to match London when it comes to high-brow entertainment.
Every night of the week, thousands of visitors to the city descend on one of the many theatres that are dotted around the West End.

Sound of Music
If you’re the nostalgic type, then this production may be the perfect night’s entertainment for you.
The production remains true to the original version, featuring some all-time classic songs like My Favourite Things, and has been well received by critics and fans.
And although familiarity may dissuade some people from digging into their pockets, the production is well worth the money.
Bonnie and Clyde
Another of the most iconic productions of the 20 century, this Linnie Reedman-written production delivers an action-packed interpretation of the original story.
The show is running until September 21st and is sure to remain popular with visitors from the UK and abroad.
The critical response to the production has been noticeably more modest, but if you’re a fan of the original storyline, you really shouldn’t let that stop you!
As an alternative, how about going to see Grounded at Notting Hill Gate Theatre? The area may be best known for the annual carnival, but it’s also home to some great entertainment throughout the remainder of the year.
This production is running until September 28th and is well worth a watch if you’re staying in London at any stage over the next month or so.
