Madame Tussauds is one of London’s most intriguing attractions, featuring unbelievably life-like wax models of some of the world’s biggest stars.
For years, the London venue has entertained visitors from across the world with incredible interactive experiences and it is only getting better, with a new Star Wars exhibition now open.
The multi-million pound expansion was created in collaboration with Disney and Lucasfilm and includes figures of the franchise’s top heroes and villains. All of the waxworks are placed in key scenes from the movies with stunning special effects.
To properly make the most out of the day, it could be best advised to travel by coach, saving you the stress and hassle of navigating through the capital’s busy roads.
It can save you a lot of money as well, particularly as train prices can be extremely expensive this close to departure.
What characters are featured in the exhibition?
A total of 16 characters are featured in the new attraction, covering 11 scenes from the first six Star Wars films at a variety of locations, such as the swamps of Dagobah, Jabba’s Throne Room and the Millennium Falcon flight deck.
Madame Tussauds London's general manager Ben Sweet said: “Star Wars at Madame Tussauds takes the Madame Tussauds experience up a notch, as guests will not just be able to get close to their film heroes, they will be able to star alongside them and grab a selfie in specially recreated scenes of some of their favourite movie moments.”
Mr Sweet went on to say that the venue is working closely with Disney and Lucasfilm to guarantee 100 per cent authenticity, with the team gaining access to props, costumes and designs to provide the best experience possible.
He explained that the attraction is about more than just the figures, as it aims to let visitors step right into accurate recreations of the top scenes in the films.
The exhibition has been created to allow the possibility of further work. Potential new figures and scenes could added in the future.
