Plan ahead for Christmas in London

Plan ahead for Christmas in London

Christmas in London can be a truly magical experience, with plenty of incredible attractions to look forward to across the city.

The capital looks beautiful no matter the time of year, but it really looks its best around the festive season. The decorations are absolutely phenomenal and you can expect an incredible atmosphere across the city.

High streets such as Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Road really look spectacular in the big lights, while the astonishing Hyde Park Winter Wonderland simply cannot be missed. Visitors can enjoy a host of sensational festive attractions, including amazing rides and a stunning Christmas market.

Pick up some tasty treats, beautiful decorations or enjoy some mulled wine in one of the best fairs in the UK.

Another excellent attraction is the Magical Ice Kingdom, where visitors can look forward to ice sculptures and a unique festive display. Kids will love it too, especially since they can take a trip to meet the Snow Queen.

Elsewhere, there is a giant wheel that transports attendees 60 metres into the air for a fantastic ride overlooking the incredible London skyline. What’s more, the Zippos Christmas Circus and Cirque Berserk provide amazing entertainment, including clowns, acrobats, jugglers and high-wire stunts.

Young ones can also meet the man himself, Father Christmas, who will appear in Santa Land grotto every day between 10am and 6pm. For adults, the Ice Bar provides an amazing place to relax, where they can enjoy excellent cocktails in a wondrously festive atmosphere.

What is the best way to reach Winter Wonderland?

Due to expensive rail fares and busy roads, London can be a challenge to get to, especially at short notice. Depending on where you are in the country, train tickets can be over £100 and don’t always guarantee a seat.

Making the journey via car can cause a lot of hassle, too. Expect busy roads close to the capital and highly expensive parking, which can add a significant amount of money to your spending.

However, there is a much better solution: coach travel. As well as helping you to save money, opting for a bus will mean you do not need to worry about navigating the capital’s traffic. Instead, you can relax and look forward to your trip.

With Wi-Fi and chargers onboard, you can even make preparations on your way to London. Perhaps book a restaurant table, or make a timetable of where you are going to visit?

Whatever you decide to do, there is so much choice in the city this Christmas that you can guarantee there’s something for everyone in your party.
