Plenty of fantastic sports events lined up at O2 Arena

The O2 Arena in London continues to be one of the top venues for sport across the UK, hosting several sports events in the coming weeks.

There are many different competitions scheduled at the landmark venue in the coming months, including the NBA Global Games London match on January 12th, when the Indiana Pacers will take on the Denver Nuggets.

Both of the teams will be hoping to push towards the play-offs towards the end of the season. The Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers have continued to dominate the league thanks to the form of Steph Curry and LeBron James respectively, but Denver and Indiana will be hoping to push the top contenders.

In May, you can also see the UK give the NBA a run for their money, as the 2017 British Basketball Play-off Finals will take place on May 14th.

What’s more, the UFC Fight Night event will take place on March 18th, after the previous London event sold out in less than half an hour in February of this year. The growing popularity of MMA in the UK means the events are selling out even quicker than before and the latest event is sure to have some of the sport’s top stars.

One of the UK’s best live sports is undoubtedly darts, with a fantastic atmosphere for everyone to appreciate. On May 18th, the Betway Premier League Darts Premier League final will take place at the O2 Arena, where the likes of Michael van Gerwen, Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson will compete for the trophy.

The 2017 season will start in Newcastle in February before visiting Nottingham, Leeds, Brighton, Exeter, Glasgow, Rotterdam, Manchester and Cardiff in the first half of the season. By the end of this series, the bottom two players will be eliminated before six further league nights ahead of the final at the O2 on May 18th.

What is the best way to reach London?

There are many ways for visitors to reach the capital, but it is not always easy for people to reach England’s biggest city.

The large volumes of traffic in the area mean driving can be a troublesome task, while parking is another issue as costs in London can be extremely high.

While rail transport is a good option for some journeys, the amount of delays and cancellations on London lines can make it challenging to get there on time.

On the other hand, a coach journey ensures a guaranteed seat, ample luggage space and Wi-Fi, providing a pleasant and straightforward journey.
