As we enter the second month of 2017, Britons will be looking for fun days out without having to deal with the wet and cold British weather.
While the UK has some wonderful parks and outdoor spaces, they may not be the best places to visit at this time of year. Instead, it could be best to opt for indoor entertainment options.
Thankfully, there are plenty available for great value prices, including the London SEA LIFE Centre, where some of the world’s most interesting sea animals are looked after. Expect sharks, turtles and all manner of water creatures.
Overall, there are thousands of creatures over two million litres of water, with the aquarium being home to 500 species from across the world. There are over 40 sharks from 12 different species, with visitors having a great opportunity to learn more about the wildlife and how they can be protected.
Visitors will not just be looking at the animals either, as there are opportunities to take part in public feeding, diving displays and touch pools. There is also a Shark Walk finale as four species of shark swim beneath your feet.
New attractions are regularly added to the centre, too, including the Ocean Invaders Jellyfish display, which will launch this Easter with the precise date yet to be confirmed.
As part of the new area, visitors can look forward to Moon Jellyfish, Upside Down Jellyfish, Japanese Sea Nettles and Amakusa Jellyfish, with other species added for certain periods of the year.
The SEA LIFE Aquarium is also perfect for children, with plenty of educational materials dotted around the centre to allow visitors to learn more about conservation and how the world’s oceans and seas are being protected.
Similarly, teachers can even get involved themselves, with workshops available and educational tours available for schools if they are booked in advance.
As the Aquarium is right next to the River Thames, visitors will be surrounded by excellent attractions and restaurants, making it easy to enjoy a fantastic day of exploring the capital’s many sights and sounds.
While travelling to London can be problematic for many people, there are options to make the trip easier. Coaches can be booked well in advance for very affordable prices, offering ample luggage room and a guaranteed seat. This leaves travellers to simply relax and enjoy their journey, rather than worrying about navigating traffic.
