London is one of Europe’s top tourist destinations and has everything you could ever look for in a city, including amazing shopping opportunities, fantastic restaurants and cultures from all around the world.
It isn’t just entertainment and art that awaits in the capital, though. We all know about the amazing savoury options in the city, but it’s also perfect for sweet tooths and Easter is a fantastic time to see it all for yourself.
What’s more, with the sun finally coming out in the UK over the weekend, April could prove to be the perfect time to see London in the sun. Return coach tickets can be purchased at great value prices, so it isn’t too late to plan an Easter getaway!
Here are just some of the mouth-watering places to try:
Paul A Young, Soho
Paul A Young is one of the leading chocolate options in London, providing unique recipes and flavours including rhubarb and ginger as well as passion fruit curd. The branch boasts a number of tastings and classes focused on caramel making and brownie baking.
The sheer variety of chocolate here is overwhelming, so be sure to take your time and take advantage of a menu unlike any you will have seen before.
Hotel Chocolat, Soho
Now with branches up and down the UK, Hotel Chocolat is one of the country’s favourite new restaurants. It offers both sweet and savoury food sprinkled or, in some cases, covered in chocolate. Be sure to try the white chocolate mash or the venison steak topped with dark chocolate puree.
Plus, if you’re not interested in a big meal, the afternoon tea here is wonderful. Be sure to try the rare beef and white chocolate horseradish sandwich!
Choccywoccydoodah, Carnaby Street
If you’re looking for somewhere truly eccentric, Choccywoccydoodah is the place to be. Expect chocolate in the shape of dozens of things, ranging from emojis to flowers and even gods!
On the first floor there is the Bar Du Chocolat, serving up rich and indulgent cakes, milkshakes and other delights. New arrivals appear regularly at the cafe and, while many of the artistic products will look too good to eat, you’ll be missing out if you don’t give them a try!
Easter Chocolate Market, Chelsea
On April 15th, the Duke of York Square in Chelsea will be offering a wide assortment of delicious chocolates from a host of incredible suppliers, including Simply Hand Made Chocolate and Aztec. It will run between 10am and 4pm, giving visitors plenty of time to try some delightful treats.
As a bonus, there will be plenty of samples given out, so you can even try some of the tasty flavours before you buy them.
