Among the many great landmarks to visit and events to enjoy, London is also home to some of the best sporting action you’re likely to see.
Whether you're a fan of football, cricket, rugby or just about anything else in between, you're sure to find something to tickle your fancy in the capital.
But, perhaps, the event that tops the list in the coming weeks is the hosting of the annual WTP Tour Finals event at the O2 Arena in London.
Every year, the tournament attracts the biggest and the best names from the tennis world – and 2013 promises to be no different.
One of the main points of interest is whether Spaniard Rafael Nadal can reclaim the World Number One spot before the end of the year.
And in order to achieve his ambition, it’s likely that Nadal will need to progress to the later stages of the tournament in London.
The Spaniard recently spoke of his unwavering determination to reclaim the top spot before the end of the year and, in turn, overtake rival Novak Djokovic.
"It will be very tough to become number one, but if I am still playing the same way I did the last couple of months, I hope to have my chance here or in the next few weeks," he commented.
Nadal has already won the French and US Opens, and he will be hoping to repeat the feat in London.
He will, however, first have to overcome the challenge of Roger Federer, Djokovic and others.
What’s more, the event also throws up the opportunity to sample one of the O2 Arena’s best bars and restaurants.
There are loads to choose from and given the wide selection on offer, you can't moan that's there's nothing to match your particular taste.
