Forgoing the traditional fireworks this year, Ramsgate Harbour will instead be lit up with an incredible laser show. On the stroke of midnight, the spectacle will begin, offering a state-of-the-art take on the aurora borealis. Arrive earlier if you’d like to see how the boats in the harbour have been decorated for December.

Pendulum at Hall by the Sea, Margate

Margate’s Dreamland is presenting a DJ set by Pendulum on New Year’s Eve at its Hall by the Sea venue. You’ll see in 2019 with the Australian drum and bass act’s choice of tunes from from 9.30pm until late, alongside Matrix & Futurebound and DJ Fly & MC Smokie.

New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner Dance at Canterbury Cathedral Lodge

To really see the New Year in in style, head to Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, which is hosting a black tie gala dinner. As well as a five-course meal and live music from The Kingsdown Band, there’ll be a Scottish piper to welcome in 2019.

New Year’s Eve at Bleak House, Broadstairs

Relive the 70s, 80s and 90s with retro music throughout the evening at Bleak House. It will be accompanied by a luxury sit down buffet, before a fireworks spectacular at midnight to bring the whole evening to a climax. In its dramatic position with gardens overlooking Viking Bay, Bleak House promises to offer a memorable start to the New Year.

Whatever you decide to do in Kent this New Year’s Eve, get your transport organised in advance. A private coach is the perfect way to ensure everyone gets to and from the festivities safely, with no member of your party having to be the designated driver.
