How we are celebrating her Majesty’s special milestone

The Queens Ferry Coach - Happy Birthday Ma'am

The Kings Ferry is undergoing a special rebrand for the first time in its forty-eight year history – in honour of Her Majesty the Queen.

The Kings Ferry is changing its name to ‘The Queens Ferry’ - in a unique tribute for the Queen’s landmark 90th birthday (Sunday, June 12).

In the run-up to the special occasion, the firm’s 40-strong commuter coach fleet will this week (Monday, June 6 – Sunday, June 12) bear the new name on its destination blinds, while the company’s website will also be changed.

The Kings Ferry coaches are a familiar sight throughout Kent, with 40 daily services from locations across the county to the heart of London, including Canary Wharf, Cannon Street and Westminster.

It is hoped therefore the firm’s ‘new-look’ will turn a few heads and bring a smile to the faces of people going to work as the whole nation gears up to celebrate the amazing milestone, with street parties expected across the land.

To celebrate the rebrand, driver Simon Martin, was on-hand to unveil a specially-liveried new coach said:

“We’re really proud to do our bit in marking Her Majesty the Queen’s special birthday. I’m hoping the tribute will raise some smiles on the morning commute as the whole country gets in gear to celebrate”.

The Queens Ferry Managing Director Ian Fraser added:

“All our drivers and staff join the nation in expressing our very warmest wishes for the Queen’s 90th birthday. June 12 is a monumental milestone in Her Majesty’s reign and we are thrilled to play our part in marking it”.

Kings Ferry to provide team coaches for Soccer Aid 2016

The Kings Ferry will be at the heart of the action in Manchester this weekend when we provide the team coaches for the Soccer Aid 2016

Every two years, Soccer Aid brings together two teams of celebrities and football legends from England and the Rest of the World for the biggest charity celebrity football match in the calendar.

Soccer Aid started in 2006 as a brainwave of Unicef UK ambassador Robbie Williams and Jonathan Wilkes. Now in its 10th year, the event has raised an amazing £17 million for Unicef’s work for children and has involved legendary players Diego Maradona, Zinedine Zidane and Teddy Sheringham as well as music, film and TV stars from around the globe.

This year the match will be played at Old Trafford on Sunday 5 June 2016 to help raise even more vital funds to save and change children's lives.

Your Soccer Aid donations will help Unicef provide children with nutritious food, vaccines and clean water, as well as protecting them from violence, exploitation and abuse. What's more, every penny you donate will be doubled by the UK government.

Kings Ferry is delighted to be providing the official coaches which are wrapped top to toe in Soccer Aid branding and are looking forward to a memorable weekend.

Kings Ferry is a leading provider of VIP coach transport for professional sports teams, providing complete travel management for numerous football clubs, as well as official team transport for major international events like Soccer Aid.
